Yawa Hair Braiding & Locs is a fast-growing braiding studio dedicated to providing high-quality protective styles, including box braids, knotless braids, feed-ins, boho braids, and locs, in a welcoming, professional environment. We're expanding our team and looking for skilled, passionate braiders to join us.


**Job Description**

We're looking for an experienced Hair Braider to join our growing team. You'll work with clients to create beautiful, long-lasting braided styles and locs while delivering excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for a braider who takes pride in their craft and wants to grow with a busy, reputable shop.


**Responsibilities**

Perform a variety of braiding styles: box braids, knotless braids, feed-ins, boho braids, cornrows, and loc maintenance/retwists. Consult with clients on style, length, and hair care needs. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation. Manage appointment times efficiently to stay on schedule. Provide excellent customer service and build client relationships. Recommend and (optionally) sell hair care/maintenance products. Follow proper hygiene and safety protocols.


**Requirements**

Proven experience as a professional braider (portfolio or photos required). Skilled in multiple braiding techniques and/or loc services. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Cosmetology/braiding license (if required in your state).


**Preferred**

Experience with loc styling/retwisting. Speed and stamina for long styling sessions. Social media savvy (for portfolio/content purposes).


**Compensation**

$20/hour or 60% commission, your choice.


**Schedule**

Open 7 days a week with flexible scheduling available. We'll work with your availability: mornings, evenings, or weekends.
