What is a license in the context of employment?

A license in the context of employment refers to an official permission or certification granted by a governing body that allows an individual to perform certain jobs or activities legally. Many professions, such as nurses, electricians, teachers, or real estate agents, require a license to ensure that practitioners meet specific standards of education, training, and ethics. Licenses help protect public safety and maintain quality standards within various industries.
