Job description

The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time Mechanic/Shopkeeper (40hrs/wk.). The Library Mechanic/Shopkeeper duties include preventative maintenance and minor repair of 12 vehicles ranging from small vans to box trucks. Vehicle lift and tire mount/balance equipment experience needed. Forklift driving experience preferred. Valid AR driver's license and good driving record required. Shopkeeper duties include keeping parts and supplies stocked and organized, including spare floor and ceiling tiles, housekeeping supplies, etc. Accept deliveries and unload pallets from vendors. Some travel to branch libraries to assist with other maintenance activities, and occasional pressure washing. Other duties as assigned, must be able lift 50 lbs., push, pull, lift, and squat. Pay starts at $16.11 and includes excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, company-paid retirement, life insurance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and holiday pay.
