1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - Area NY (KAD - MP)
73-year-old female living in Chittenango looking for part-time Direct Support Professional to assist her with going out into the community and interacting with her peers being active in her community and help her with choosing activities of her liking. She is of the roman catholic faith and would like to be able to attend church if she decides she want to do that on a day of provided services. She wants to work on improving her safety skills. She enjoys coloring, doing arts and crafts and playing bingo. She likes to go shopping, to the library and walk for exercise. She enjoys walks around her own neighborhood, eating out, listening to music while going for drives. She loves being the center of attention, getting and giving complements and thrives around upbeat and fun people.
The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate should be active and willing to go on long walks, go to the library, take her to church as well as other activities of interest.
This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
Looking for service on Mondays and Fridays ideally from 10 am to 4 pm.
Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Effective communication and organizational skills required.
  • Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
  • Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
  • Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
