Job description

Library Assistant

Accufile, the market leader in strategic on-site and virtual information and research management solutions, is seeking a part-time (10-15 hours wkly) Library Assistant. Applicants must have relevant library experience to be considered for this position.

This is an ON-SITE position

Core responsibilities may include:

  • Open and process all incoming mail and logs into library catalog software
  • Maintain title and item records in the integrated library system
  • Process, track and reconcile invoices as needed
  • Conduct check-in and process materials for routing
  • Maintain library collection by sorting, shelving, and organizing books and periodicals
  • Process print materials with binders, labels and cards as needed
  • Communicate with publishers regarding library accounts, if requested
  • File loose leaf updates and pocket parts
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

  • Associates level degree or higher preferred
  • Experience using an integrated library system
  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office products a must
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes of procedures and routines
