Hill’s Pet Nutrition is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Creative Rights & Compliance Manager to join our Strategic Creative Services (SCS) team. This role ensures that all creative assets produced by SCS meet the highest standards of legal, regulatory, and brand compliance, while maintaining complete and accurate documentation of usage rights, contracts, and licensing. This individual safeguards Hill’s intellectual property and ensures all content is compliant, properly tagged, and publication-ready.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where precision, accountability, and proactive communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) reviews of creative assets to verify accuracy, brand consistency, and adherence to project specifications.

  • Manage the contracting, tracking, and documentation of all external talent, voiceover, and influencer agreements, ensuring proper usage rights and expiration tracking.

  • Oversee the licensing and compliance of stock photography, video, illustrations, and music, maintaining clear records of permissions and usage limitations.

  • Serve as the primary owner of asset metadata in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system (Bynder), ensuring accurate tagging, usage rights, and claim data.

  • Partner with the Account Manager and Creative Project Managers to ensure all creative work is properly cleared before delivery or publication.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, and Brand partners to define and uphold rights management and compliance standards across all creative workflows.

  • Support regulatory and brand audits, maintaining an organized archive of contracts, rights documentation, and compliance records.

  • Act as the SCS team’s subject matter expert on intellectual property, brand compliance, and content rights.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline compliance and rights review processes through automation, documentation, and team education.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Legal Studies, Library Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in creative compliance, (SAG required), rights management, talent negotiations, or production operations, preferably within an in-house agency or marketing environment.

  • Experince manager creative assets with copyright, licensing, and intellectual property rights as they relate to creative content.

  • Experience managing and maintaining assets within a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, such as Bynder.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with Bynder or a similar enterprise DAM platform.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple review cycles simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across creative, legal, and business teams.

  • Proven attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

  • Familiarity with creative production workflows and asset lifecycle management.

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (CPG, healthcare, or pharmaceutical preferred).

  • Understanding of AI-generated content compliance and ethical usage standards.

  • Experience supporting global or regional teams with centralized governance requirements.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $86,000.00 - $121,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
