About the Job

The mission of the Sales Engineer is to bridge the gap between technical expertise and revenue generation-accelerating sales through tailored solution design, strategic product enablement, and AI-driven sales support. You partner with sellers and customers throughout the sales cycle, transforming technical insights into compelling business value. By leveraging platform knowledge, pre-sales strategy, and AI-enhanced content, you help drive conversion, adoption, and retention.

Your Impact

As a Sales Engineer, you'll work with Account Executives, sellers, customers, and internal teams including Product, Marketing, and Engineering to:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Vendasta solutions, maintaining deep platform knowledge and evolving with new feature releases, AI tools, and market trends.
• Lead tailored product demos using AI-enhanced walkthroughs or simulations to address unique customer needs.
• Develop and maintain prompt libraries, solution templates, and AI-generated support materials for scalable demo delivery.
• Support sellers in overcoming technical objections using contextual AI assistants, battle cards, and dynamic content generation.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to assess customer needs, define scope, and co-design solutions that align with business outcomes.
• Develop technical proposals, use-case maps, and diagrams to illustrate workflows and integration paths.
• Apply AI to automate portions of proposal generation and identify cross-sell opportunities through lead scoring and CRM intelligence.
• Assist in opportunity qualification, participating in discovery calls and technical Q&As to influence conversion and time-to-close.
• Create and maintain scalable enablement assets (e.g., demo scripts, AI prompt cards, objection-handling guides).
• Deliver live and asynchronous training for sales teams to improve product fluency and confidence with AI-powered workflows.
• Liaise with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure content accuracy, feature readiness, and timely knowledge transfer.
• Curate AI tools for internal use (e.g., copilots for product lookups, integration diagrams, or RFP responses).

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field are considered preferred assets.
• You bring 3-5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solution Consultant, or Pre-Sales role, with deep expertise in SaaS solutions, platform configuration, and enterprise-level integrations.
• You possess proven success supporting complex sales motions and enabling large deal wins, alongside strong presentation and storytelling capabilities.
• You are proficient in pre-sales solutioning, scoping, sales cycle support, and skilled in AI content generation such as prompts, demos, and dynamic RFPs.
• You are a self-starter with strong project management, time prioritization, and multitasking abilities who can translate technical concepts into strategic business value and provide actionable feedback for roadmap planning. Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce), AI demo platforms, and sales engagement tools like Gong and Outreach is required, while experience in B2B SaaS is an asset
