Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home tutoring company. We deliver flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our students.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an in-person Special Education tutor able to work for the full 2026/2027 academic school year (September to June).

As a tutor, you will work one-on-one with students to provide personalized support and guidance in their academic pursuits. Tutoring sessions take place in students' homes or at a local public library. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are committed to helping students succeed throughout the academic year. Join our team and make a positive impact on the next generation of learners!

  • Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.
  • Provide individualized instruction and learning strategies to support students with special education needs.
  • Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote a greater understanding of the material.
  • Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for teachers or soon-to-be teachers who can meet the following criteria:

  • Energetic and enthusiastic teachers with experience teaching students with special education needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is preferred.
  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including implementing differentiated instruction and accommodations, is an asset.
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service.
  • Enjoy working with students and families.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Available for In-Person tutoring in student's home or public libraries.
  • Reliable transportation and access to a vehicle are preferred.
  • Available to commit to tutoring assignments for the full 2026/2027 academic school year (September to June).
  • Openings in Aurora, Richmond Hill, King City, Markham & Newmarket areas.

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • You hold registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • You are qualified to teach in Ontario.
  • You are a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
  • You have Special Education qualifications or experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Canadian or US University.
