Job description

Job Summary:
Auburn University is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant in the Libraries’ IT Department. This role supports faculty, staff, and students by assisting with routine technology needs and contributing to the daily operations of the Libraries’ IT unit.
Responsibilities:
• Assist Auburn University Libraries faculty and staff with basic computing questions and provide support for hardware and software troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance
• Support IT staff with technology setup and maintenance, including installing software updates, imaging laptops and computers, and replacing or swapping out computer equipment
• Direct users to appropriate resources or personnel when issues cannot be resolved at the initial level
• Assist with setting up, transporting, and organizing technology equipment for library operations and events
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the IT workspace
Qualifications:
Required:
• Enrolled student at Auburn University
• Must provide detailed availability for each day of the week within library operating hours
Preferred:
• Demonstrated interest in public service and providing high-quality customer service
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while interacting professionally with faculty, staff, and students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
