Part-Time Temporary Library Assistant II

The Fort Dodge Public Library is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Temporary Library Assistant II. This position will work approximately 20-25 hours per week and offers the potential to transition into regular employment status with benefits.

As the Part-Time Temporary Library Assistant II, you will serve as one of the library's primary points of contact with the public, offering support and assistance to patrons of all ages and backgrounds. You will be responsible for a variety of important tasks that contribute to the smooth daily operations of the library, including circulation, customer service, and program support. Whether you're helping a child find their next favorite book, guiding an adult through online resources, assisting with technology, or processing new materials, your work will directly support our mission to connect people with information, ideas, and opportunities for lifelong learning.

You will also have the opportunity to be cross-trained in multiple departments, gaining valuable experience across adult, teen, and children's services.
