Job description: Associate Software Engineer

Constellation is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Homeland Security Team in Washington, DC. This role is designed for a developer who is comfortable across the stack, specifically building modern user interfaces in React and supporting robust backend services in Java/Spring Boot (or similar frameworks). You will work on mission-critical applications that integrate data collection, operational reporting, and intelligent automation to support national security objectives. This position involves close collaboration with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver mission-driven capabilities across multiple workstreams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full-Stack Development: Building and maintaining responsive web applications using React, integrating them with backend services and APIs.
  • System Integration: Supporting the development of backend logic and data services using Java/Spring or equivalent frameworks.
  • User-Centric Design: Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design sessions within a tight-knit engineering team.
  • Quality Assurance: Writing unit tests and participating in CI/CD workflows to ensure the reliability of production code.

The ideal candidate must have the following credentials:
