Job Summary:ย The Technical Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance for the company as it relates to products and testing outcomes as necessary, technical support to our sales and customer network and be forward thinking in developing and researching new system designs to help the company lead the marketplace. The Technical Manager will also have the responsibility of compiling new ideas for products and developing these along with managing and training other technical team members who will report directly to this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day communication within company and network members, resolving issues and answering questions in an effective, practical manner.ย 
  • Technical guidance on product features, competitive analysis, specifications, relationships with others in the construction community, i.e., architects, general contractors, facility owners, etc.
  • Providing training guidelines on product installations, troubleshooting, product knowledge for internal staff as well as the field sales and customer network.ย 
  • Development of a resource library of information on product characteristics and specs, installation instructions, frequently asked questions, etc.
  • Management and coordination of the activities related to warranty claims throughout all business units.
  • Serve as an industry liaison to trade associations and other technical committees like STC, ASBA and others as required.
  • Work at developing new systems and performance criteria for new turf systems.ย 
  • Work with R&D department and third-party accredited test labs on the testing of product development. This includes but not limited to system certifications.ย 
  • Develop and maintain a system of communication with existing accounts (Tech Tips and Position Statements).
  • Work with Customer Service and Business Directors to ensure smooth and timely handling of manufacturing warranty claims.
  • Communicate and inform the team of new products and industry innovations and company guidelines.
  • Responsible for the research related to turf products.
  • Provide and relay testing information on various industry standard requirements on systems as required.
  • Research new products and work with Marketing to help with all technical data that supports sales and marketing.
  • Review all specification sheets, technical brochures, videos, websites and any other marketing information for accuracy and validity.
  • Responsible for investigation and resolution of all turf issues in the field.
  • Keep records and report on activities as required
  • Coordinate with all other departments/divisions for dealer technical education.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associateโ€™s degree from accredited College or University, or 2 years of synthetic turf experience

Physical Requirements:ย 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds

Compensation:

Starting Base Salary: $62,000 to $64,000

Benefits:

  • Will be eligible for health insurance the first day of the first full month following 30 days employed with The Recreational Group
