Job description
The Library Graduate Assistant supports key services in the Montgomery Library, by assisting full-time employees in all library areas. This position will gain hands-on experience in research support, customer service, project management, and digital content creation while assisting students, faculty, and staff.
This position requires availability during evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with circulation and basic reference services at the library service desk and library chat during operating hours.
- Provide one-on-one support to students and faculty in locating library materials and using databases.
- Contribute to library outreach, including creating flyers, social media posts, and event support.
- Assist in a digitization project aimed at capturing the voice of the university through the creation of a comprehensive picture archive. This includes scanning, metadata creation, and organizing digital assets for public access.
- Collaborate with staff on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a graduate program at Campbellsville University.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and have an eye for attention to detail.
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.
