Job Summary

West Kentucky Community & Technical College (WKCTC), recognized as a top 10 community college in the nation by The Aspen Institute five consecutive times and twice as a Finalist with Distinction, invites applications for the position of Part-time Library Assistant. WKCTC is a comprehensive community college that provides excellence in teaching a learning, promotes student success, and supports economic development.

Job Duties:

-Cover the circulation desk at assigned times
-Assist patrons with searching for and finding information
-Provide basic computer and printer assistance, reboot computers
-Use the library catalog to place orders for materials
-Assist with patron counts
-Oversee student laptops and other equipment checkout
-Add content to LibGuides, a Springshare product, on the library website
-Shelve books and shelf reading
-Straighten and clean the library
-Oversee coffee bar (make coffee, clean, replenish supplies)
-Post signs to advertise events in the library and in other buildings on campus
-Write announcements advertising the library's resources and services
-Conduct library tours and represent the library at campus events
-Assist with library orientations and instruction
-Assist with events in the library
-Additional duties assigned as needed

-High school Diploma, or equivalent
