Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Circulation Supervisor may perform any or all of the following duties:

         Assist patrons with routine informational queries

         Use of the Library's Circulation system to check materials in and out, create and

maintain patron records, and locate and retrieve reserve and ILL materials for patrons

         Shelve materials throughout the day

         Shelf reading on a daily basis

         Clean computers in library and computer lab, monitor the status of printers and copiers, and notify permanent staff if maintenance is required.

         Shift materials to create space and/or distribute the collection throughout the shelves.

         Search for overdue, missing, delinquent library materials.

         Keep and compile library statistics

The Zollinger Library is located in Gallup, N.M., 140 miles west of Albuquerque and is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

All students must be willing to work 2 nights or 1 night and Saturday per week.    Students must be dependable and willing and able to be at work on time.  Absences must be coordinated with fellow students so all scheduled hours are covered.
