PART TIME LIBRARY CLERK
10 MONTH / NORTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
9:15 AM - 12:15 PM (15 HRS A WEEK)
Primary Responsibilities
This position will serve in the School Library with the following job responsibilities:
  • Assist students in selecting books and use of materials.
  • Work with Librarian to prepare materials for library lessons.
  • Cover circulation desk during library classes.
  • Check out books, monitor overdue books, print notices for students and mail correspondence to parents.
  • Shelve books, conduct inventory and process book and periodical orders.
  • Book maintenance including repairs, damage book replacement, evaluate and process book donations.
  • Other Library related duties as assigned by the School Librarian and or School Principal.

Supervised By:
Receives task direction from the School Principal and/or the School Media Specialist.
Qualifications:
Must be organized and able to assist librarian and students in order to help ensure that library services are provided in an efficient and professional manner.
Salary:
Starting hourly pay rate is $17.48/hour.
