About this Job This posting is for a part-time in-person position located on-site at our Bossier Campus. Salary - $25.00/hour Days/Times: Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday 12:30 PM -4:30 PM Schedule when working Saturday Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM In order to be considered for employment, applicant must attach the required documentation to the application. www.bpcc.edu Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with documentation showing coursework in Library Science or Liberal Arts. Two (2) or more years of library experience. Experience with an automated library system

Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent oral and communications skills. Strong ability to pay attention to details.

Willingness to learn new skills in a constantly changing environment. Able to establish and maintain effective working ability with superiors, associates, and library users. Job Duties and Other Information Assists with the daily operation of library information desk Charges and discharges library materials using an automated circulation system Assists students with location of materials, research skills, and ready reference Assists with minor computer issues Responsible for the provision of assigned orientations Provides answers to reference questions.

Conducts reference interviews as necessary Offers reader's advisory services Monitors library by walking around periodically Keeps library tidy and neat; assists with directional and informational queries Records statistics when necessary Answer chat line Assist with the training of Student Workers Assists in assuring accurate library shelving by shelf reading and re-shelving of materials as needed Inspects returned books, materials, and equipment for damage All other duties as assigned by supervisor
