Part-time: less than 30 hours/week, 3–4-day work week, rotating Saturdays

Farmington Veterinary Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.   We are a busy 2-doctor companion animal veterinary practice located in Farmington, Arkansas!  We strive to make work fun, engaging, and rewarding.

Qualifications:

  • Recent veterinary experience including knowledge of basic veterinary procedures and terminology HIGHLY preferred
  • Recent experience working with companion animals REQUIRED
  • Be punctual and considerate of those around them
  • Communicate effectively and with confidence
  • Be resilient and ready to tackle any challenges head on
  • Have a sincere desire to help animals and their people 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient exams, treatments, diagnostics, surgery preparation, and nursing care.
  • Safely restrain and handle patients while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, laboratories, and surgical suites.
  • Support daily hospital operations, patient flow, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with the hospital team to deliver compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and an outstanding client experience.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at$15-18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
