Job description

We currently have opportunities for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our construction teams.
LHC, Inc. has been shaping the landscape in the Flathead Valley and throughout the state of Montana for over 50 years. Key Functions
  • Safely and efficiently operate a variety of construction heavy equipment, such as, but not limited to: skid steers, mini-excavators, excavators, back-hoes, compactors, loaders, blades, scrapers, and dozers
  • Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.
  • Safely perform labor functions and operate small engine construction equipment, such as, but not limited to jumping jacks, wacker plates, compressors, and hand-power tools
  • Perform routine inspections on equipment and report any defects
  • Strict adherence to complying with safety policies and procedures
  • Provide support to successful completion of construction and engineering work

Qualifications
  • Construction experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of previous experience strongly preferred

  • Work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to work in both teams and independently when needed with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
  • A keen eye to details and good decision-making skills
  • Manage to handle emergency situations, work pressure and stress
  • Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner
  • Possess a deep analytical understanding and problem-solving skills
  • Devoted in following code of ethics
  • Good relationship building ability
  • Must be able to work various shifts, days and overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work out of town

Physical Requirements
  • Capable of lifting 25 to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement
  • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Bend at the waist, kneel, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
  • Climb ladders/steps
  • Continuous use of hands and fine manipulation
  • Walk varying distances and on uneven ground at times
  • Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, and vibrations

Compensation
  • Hourly rate of pay $24 to $27 an hour based on experience
  • Medical Insurance
    • Year 1 - Employer covers 80% of total (family) premiums
    • Years 2 & 3 - Employer covers 90% of total (family) premiums
    • Years 4 or more - Employer covers 100% of total (family) premiums
