The Community Counseling Center in Rochester, New York, is actively seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate and dedicated team. This role is ideal for professionals with a background as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R (LCSW-R). This full-time position is primarily remote, providing you with the ability to deliver therapy from a comfortable environment while remaining connected to your colleagues through virtual communication tools. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to ensure we meet the needs of our patients. Our outpatient office is designed to promote a welcoming atmosphere, essential for creating therapeutic rapport with clients.

• Conduct detailed and culturally attuned mental health assessments to comprehend the unique histories and experiences of each patient, which serves as a foundation for developing personalized treatment plans.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, customizing interventions based on each individual's cultural and personal background.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address a wide range of mental health challenges, while promoting resilience and overall well-being among participants.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to create integrated care strategies that support patient success.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring patients receive appropriate de-escalation and support.
• Educate patients and their family members on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to facilitate informed decision-making and strengthen support systems.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Engage actively in team-based supervision, case conferences, and strive for continuous professional development through cultural competency training sessions.
• Stay updated on current research, innovative practices, and emerging trends in mental health therapy, particularly as they pertain to cultural nuances.

Our center serves a diverse patient population, including but not limited to individuals from ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants facing unique cultural challenges. Your expertise in culturally competent therapy will be crucial to developing therapeutic relationships that are effective, impactful, and build trust with patients who may have been historically marginalized.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A thorough understanding of a variety of mental health disorders along with competence in culturally responsive therapies.
• Demonstrable experience providing both individual and group therapy in a manner that encourages inclusivity and respect for cultural differences.
• Strong crisis management abilities and the aptitude to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other digital applications necessary for clinical documentation.
• A commitment to maintaining ethical practices and confidentiality throughout all aspects of clinical work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
