Lexington County School District One (Lexington, SC) seeks to hire multiple Middle School Language Arts Teachers. Must have U.S. Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent. This position also requires a South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate specialization and fluency in English. Duties: (i) instruct middle school students (Grades 6-8) in English language skills such as grammar usage, vocabulary expansion, composition techniques and applications, literature comprehension, etc.; (ii) design and teach lesson plans, facilitate learning experiences, and develop and analyze formative and summative performance assessments and results; and (iii) perform other duties as assigned including tutoring middle school students, curriculum writing, peer evaluations and/or similar duties. Position may transfer to a different building within the district's metro-statistical area (MSA) to accommodate the business needs of the district.
