Behavioral Health Therapist — Auburn, CA
$80,200 – $153,000 a year · Full-time or Part-time · Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, or LMFT

A well-established Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center serving Placer and Nevada counties is adding licensed behavioral health clinicians to its integrated primary care team in Auburn. Roughly 50 years of continuous community service, about 25,000 active patients, and a third health center opening in 2027.

Pay by license type (employer starting-salary schedule):

  • Licensed Psychologist — $118,800 – $153,000
  • LCSW — $91,400 – $110,000
  • LMFT — $80,200 – $96,000

Why clinicians take this seat

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00. No nights, no weekends, no call.
  • 9/80 schedule option — nine-hour days with one day off every two weeks. All current therapists work this schedule.
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision for the employee (full-time). Dependent medical 80% employer-paid.
  • Student loan repayment opportunities through NHSC, IHS, and other federal and state programs.
  • Integrated care model — warm hand-offs down the hall from medical providers, not referrals into the void.

Two openings

  • Seat one — Auburn, starting as soon as possible.

  • 403(b) retirement — contribute immediately on hire. Employer matches up to 6% after the first year, with no vesting period: the match is yours from day one.
  • $50,000 employer-paid term life with double-indemnity AD&D
  • Long-term disability; voluntary short-term disability
  • 17 days of paid vacation annually
  • Sick time: 1 hour per 30 hours worked
  • 11 paid holidays for full-time employees (pro-rated by FTE below full-time)

Licensed Psychologists are benefited at the employer's provider tier, which includes a higher vacation allowance in addition to the above.

Part-time is genuinely supported — the employer maintains defined benefit breakdowns at multiple FTE levels. Health-care contributions and holidays are pro-rated by hours worked, and vacation and sick time accrue starting at 20 hours per week. Ask us for the breakdown at the FTE you are considering.

Requirements

  • Active California license — Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, or LMFT
  • Three years' experience in a behavioral health program
  • Clinical experience with adults, families, and children
  • Working knowledge of and ability to relate to the Indigenous community
  • Comfortable documenting in an EHR (eClinicalWorks); BLS certification
  • Credentialing takes roughly 45–60 days and must be complete before start
