Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Rope Access Level I Technician is responsible for performing various crafts while accessing area via ropes. A Rope Access Level I Technician may only work under the direct, on-site supervision of a Rope Access Lead Technician or Supervisor (Level II or Level III).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Have an unwavering commitment to Safety
  • Conduct behavioral based safety observations
  • Participate in daily JSEA planning discussion
  • Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of a SPRAT or IRATA Level I RA Technician
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
  • Ensure operational safety of all equipment
  • Assist other technicians as required
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervision or management
  • Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions
  • Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as Company values
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Must possess an active SPRAT or IRATA Level I Certification
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling
  • Valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card)
  • Basic written and verbal skills
  • Ability to perform work accurately
  • Must be reliable and have good time management skills
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Ability to work productively in adverse conditions
  • Preferred technician with a combined knowledge & experience reading blueprints, adjusting, assembling, fabricating, & bolting components together
  • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
  • For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
