Intelligence Analyst
OVERVIEW

The Intelligence Analyst is a full-time security professional employed by The P4 Companies and assigned exclusively to a dedicated client site located in the Central Business District of downtown Chicago. This role supports the client’s safety, security, and operational continuity by providing real-time intelligence monitoring, threat assessment, incident coordination, and situational awareness within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. The Intelligence Analyst is responsible for identifying emerging risks, analyzing security trends, supporting crisis response efforts, and ensuring timely communication with client stakeholders and P4 leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor open-source, proprietary, and vendor-provided intelligence platforms for security threats impacting personnel, facilities, or operations.
  • Conduct real-time situational awareness monitoring and maintain a comprehensive operational picture.
  • Identify, analyze, and assess security trends, suspicious activity, and correlated threat patterns.
  • Track local, national, and global events (including weather and civil unrest) that may impact business operations.
  • Receive, assess, document, and escalate threats or security-related concerns.
  • Execute site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and emergency response protocols.
  • Coordinate with on-site security personnel, facilities teams, law enforcement, and emergency responders when required.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, access control platforms, and alarm systems (fire, door, duress).
  • Manage badge credentialing, access requests, and alarm investigations.
  • Produce daily intelligence summaries and incident reports for client leadership and P4 management.
  • Capture and analyze security data to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in after-action reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Homeland Security, Intelligence Studies, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in intelligence analysis, corporate security, law enforcement, military intelligence, or SOC environment preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems, CCTV platforms, and incident management software preferred.
  • Ability to work in a structured corporate security environment in downtown Chicago.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-level reporting capability.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security monitoring software platforms.
