Title: Measurer Apprentice
Come grow with us!!! We are a shower door, mirror, and shelving Manufacturer and Installation company with corporate offices based in Inland Empire, and we have an immediate job opening for a Measuring Apprentice.
As a subcontractor working in the building industry for new construction residential homes, we are looking for a person who is willing to learn how to perform duties related to the measuring of mirror/shower/shelving installation openings, located on construction-sites so that mirrors/showers/shelving products can be properly installed. Advancement possible in the future.
This position requires the following daily duties/skills to perform this job:
  • Ability to accurately read tape measure and use small hand tools.
  • Neat handwriting and ability to write quickly (manually on paper in English)
  • Ability to climb stairs in multi-level homes while carry files/paperwork, including bending, squatting and kneeling.
  • Ability to find job site locations by using a Thomas Guide map book
  • Ability to work closely with journeyman trainer who will provide all training
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (minimal points/accidents/violations)
  • Ability to drive company vehicle for extended periods.
  • Excellent Customer service and interpersonal relations skills
  • Team player who is able to work well under pressure/deadlines
  • Ability to read/speak/write the English language; communicate with employees/others. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of glass, mirrors, or showers door installations or measuring a plus.
  • Subcontractor or residential homebuilder construction knowledge a plus.

Position is full time with overtime hours, as necessary. Compensation package includes benefits such as life, dental, health, and vision insurance, with a 401k savings plan with employer match, and vacation and holiday pay.
