Job description

POSITION: Welder/Fabricator Level 2-3 (Night Shift)
NIGHT SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 4:30am (OT as needed)
PAY RATE: $26.50 - $29.70+ per hour (DOE) + $2 shift differential pay + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: West Fargo, ND
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder II is a mid-level welding position, with all work being completed with some supervision.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
  • Mastered all aspects of level 1 position
  • Qualified in welding disciplines required for the facility
  • Able to work on semi routine assignments
  • Requires minimal help from supervisor on new tasks
  • Shows initiative to recognize areas of opportunity within current standard procedures
  • Maintains technical qualifications required for positions
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
  • Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
  • Fits and welds subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal welds
  • Accurately measures to specified tolerances
  • Performs flat and horizontal welding
  • Advanced knowledge of weld symbols
  • Basic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcing
  • Able to final inspect welds
  • Able to do basic Layouts
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Ability to work safely and accurately.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
