Job Description:
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a talented and detail-oriented artist to join our WOW team, a core differentiator of the brand aimed at improving customer loyalty and retention. In this role, you will act as an in-house creative artist, focused on painting and personalizing physical gifts for our customers. Your primary focus will be our "Pet Memorialization Sympathy Stones" to be sent to customers who have recently notified us of their pet passing. Specific to this program, you will be hand-painting names onto small stones, executed in a clean and legible style, and add icons such as rainbows, paw prints, hearts, angel wings, and halos. The ideal candidate will have great penmanship and icon/picture drawing expertise, ensuring that each stone is beautiful, tasteful, and thoughtfully crafted.
What you'll do:
  • Create art on different mediums with names and accompanying icons using acrylic and oil paint pens (i.e., painting memorial stones)
  • Execute clean and legible lettering with precision and accuracy.
  • Incorporate thematic elements into designs as required.
  • Ensure that each stone is tastefully designed and reflects the intended sentiment.
  • Maintain service level agreement of the art queue during your shift.

What you'll need:
  • Skilled painting, penmanship, and drawing abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to write and paint for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Prior experience in art or design is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a portfolio showcasing relevant skills and previous work.
