Job description

The Manager on Duty will supervise all front-end staff and perform administrative tasks assigned by the store manager. The MOD will close the store on some nights and ensure we are ready for opening.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversee the daily workflow of the front-end staff.
· Lead the store in all corporate assigned programs and policies.
· Recommends discipline and termination of employees by partnering with their Store Management as needed and in accordance with policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensures consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experiences; resolves any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.
· Assist with all closing and opening duties to ensure the store is ready for business.
· Continually trains and supports front-end staff and cash office procedures.
· Maintain safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the front-end, bathrooms and parking lot.
· Ensures all front-end supplies and Ice are full.
· Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Exceptional customer service and managerial skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· At least one year of experience in a retail environment, preferably in customer service, with increasing levels of responsibility.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
· Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the supermarket.
