Leppo Rents is looking for an outside sales hunter for our Ocala and Jacksonville territories — someone who doesn't wait for the phone to ring, doesn't coast on last quarter's numbers, and treats every empty spot on the account list as a personal insult. This isn't a desk job with occasional field visits. You'll spend the bulk of your week on the road and in the field — cold calling, showing up in person, building relationships with contractors, landscapers, and equipment buyers who need someone they can actually trust.

Over that time we've built a strong reputation in Ohio by taking care of our customers, investing in our people, and doing business the right way — and as we've grown into new markets, including Florida, we've been intentional about bringing that same culture with us. Jacksonville & Ocala in particular is an exciting, growing market for us right now, and we're looking for people who want to help build our presence there.

What you'll be doing:

• Spending the majority of your time outside the store — cold calling, prospecting, and meeting customers face-to-face across your territory
• Hunting new business while growing and protecting your existing accounts
• Selling and marketing top-brand equipment, including Bobcat, and matching customers with the right machine for the job
• Owning your pipeline — tracking leads, meetings, and sales activity in CRM like it's your own business (because commission-wise, it kind of is)
• Representing Leppo at trade shows, training, and industry events
• Staying sharp on market trends and bringing ideas back to the team instead of waiting to be told what's working

What it takes:

• 3+ years of sales experience preferred — equipment, ag, construction, industrial, or any background where you've had to go get the business, not just receive it
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and a fast-paced, self-directed environment
• Integrity and follow-through — the Leppo Way means keeping your word

You don't need equipment experience to thrive here. Some of our best reps came from backgrounds like:

• Agriculture & farming – you already think in terms of equipment ROI and seasonal cash flow
• Construction & heavy civil work – you know what a machine needs to do on a real jobsite
• Landscaping & hardscaping – you've probably been our customer before you were a rep
• Ag or heavy equipment dealers (Case IH, New Holland, Kubota, John Deere, forklift/material handling) – you already know the sales motion
• Military logistics, motor transport, or heavy equipment – you bring mechanical credibility and discipline
• Any outside B2B sales role where you had to go get the business, not just take the order
