Job Title: Planner/Scheduler

Department: Program Mgt Planning & Business

Reports to: Manager, USA Planning and Business Agreements

  1. Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

Leonardo Helicopters US Corporation, established in 1980 as an after-market support, is a US subsidiary of Leonardo Helicopters. LHUSC has witnessed rapid growth over the past four decades with new facilities established in Louisiana and Florida. The Philadelphia site manages the production of AW119 / TH73-A, AW139 / MH-139, development and industrialization of AW609 Tiltrotor. In addition, the customer support services, and training organization manages support for across the Americas.

The Planning & Business function works in collaboration with and in support of Program Management to ensure proper Governance of the Program Management through the different phases of product lifecycle, from product roadmap to contracts' delivery.

The Planner/Scheduler will work in the PMO team and support the Program Managers in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) environment.

The individual will support the planning, budgeting and control of projects, assuring systematic and timely execution of activities, to include: monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion of project tasks and producing reports.

The Planner will work within the IPT and liaise with different departments (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Finance) to ensure proper flow of information.

The individual must have the ability to maintain and implement the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS), perform risk assessments, cost monitoring and control and critical path analysis. This activity includes proactively addressing schedule conflicts which could cause delays and report risks to management.

The individual should be able to perform assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner, maintaining oversight of assigned activities. Will ensure that issues are identified and addressed promptly.

Possibility to travel to Italy occasionally.

Support and facilitate the yearly budget process, by collecting information from the IPT and validating data with the PM's.

Create, manage, review, and maintain the IMS for standard programs, enabling logical links with Function Plans

Participate in weekly meetings and collect inputs from PM's to update projects plans accordingly (milestones progress, completed tasks, issues/delays)

Update the forecast monthly, using the dedicated Company tool.

Provide data used in monthly reports (plan progress, milestones, Forecast)

Ensure documents and artifacts are maintained and stored appropriately

  1. Qualifications for Position:

A. Education

BS degree in Engineering, Business or related as a minimum.

Aerospace background helpful.

B. Experience

2+ years in maintaining Integrated Master Schedules preferred. Experience in the aviation industry,

knowledge of Leonardo Helicopters products and working in an International environment are a plus.

C. Competencies & Attributes

Basic knowledge of project management methods, tools and techniques

Basic understanding of accounting

3.

Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) practices

4.

Strong working knowledge/experience with MS Project 2016

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

6.

Basic knowledge of SAP and Sharepoint environment are a plus

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Knowledge of Italian is a plus

9.

Strong organizational skills and able to multitask: demonstrates initiative in planning work and pro-actively carrying out tasks without detailed instructions. Able to make decisions and have follow through to ensure tasks are closed within deadlines

Able to work independently and as part of a team. Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

D. Licensure/Certification

PMP or equivalent Program Management certification is a plus
