Job description

We’re not looking for someone who simply moves files through the system. We’re looking for a leader who identifies obstacles early, brings solutions to the table, creates a world-class client experience, and helps our team continue to scale. Responsibilities: • Accurately input loan file documentation into necessary software programs • Facilitate a timely loan closing by serving as the main point of contact for title companies, real estate agents, mortgage loan officer/ mortgage loan originator, borrowers, and mortgage underwriters • Create and maintain the mortgage loan file, order third party documentation and reports as needed for residential home loans, and assist underwriters in clearing conditions as requested • Assure that all loan files, credit packages, and disclosure packages comply with company lending policies, as well as state and federal lending guidelines • Obtain and verify that all loan documentation, such as title insurance, appraisals, loan applications, credit reports, and income and asset declarations are accurate and provided promptly to underwriters for loan approval Qualifications: • Mortgage industry knowledge, specifically federal and state regulatory requirements are necessary • Several (2-3) years experience of loan processing experience with a mortgage banker or mortgage lending company, bank, or credit union is required • Solid knowledge of various residential mortgage loans such as FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional is vital -- Commercial loan and Refinance loan knowledge is helpful • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills are necessary The ideal candidate is: • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Proactive and solution-driven • Able to think outside the box when challenges arise • Strong at communicating with clients, builders, real estate agents, and operations teams • Comfortable managing multiple files, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously • Focused, determined, and accountable • Experienced in builder business and new construction transactions Compensation: $55,000 + bonus
