Job description

Description:

The Lending Assistant position is responsible for conducting a variety of documentation and recordkeeping functions for commercial, agricultural, residential, and consumer loan files including, but not limited to:

  • Perform all loan processing, servicing and reporting functions. 
  • Prepare loan documents and disbursements as directed by the loan officer. 
  • Ensure the proper documentation is collected and retained for all loan requests. Collect supporting documentation and order services required for loan approval. 
  • Prepare reports, assist with correspondence, reconcile accounts and provide administrative support to the agricultural, commercial and residential/mortgage loan departments. 
Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Organized, detail-oriented individuals with one or more years of banking experience is preferred. 


Additional qualifications of the position include: 

  • Ability to analyze information, identify workable solutions and select the appropriate course of action in an objective, unbiased manner. 
  • Advanced customer relationships skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and management in a professional manner. 
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, diligence, and strong organizational skills.
