We are hiring! ACS System Associates, Inc. established in 1983 is one of ENR top rated MBE privately held HVAC Commercial Companies. ACS is renowned for projects such as World Trade Center, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Stony Brook Hospitals, and a wide variety of both private and public work projects in the Greater New York area including Westchester, New York City, and Long Island. The diverse portfolio includes retail, office, industrial, hotel, schools, and hospital projects. We have an internal division complete with engineers, architects, draftsmen, project managers, and supervisors. These specialists work with clients such as Tishman, Turner, and Lend Lease to make sure each project is done effectively, on time, and within budget.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, review, and seal mechanical engineering drawings and specifications in accordance with New York requirements.
  • Lead HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system design for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and budgets.
  • Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance reviews.
  • Conduct site visits and oversee construction administration as needed.
  • Interface with contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Current New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the New York Building, Mechanical, and Energy Codes plus applicable industry standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; familiarity with HVAC load calculation software is preferred.
