Trico is currently seeking to add a Laboratory Technician to our Oil Analysis Fulfillment Team. The primary purpose of the Lab Technician is to process test samples of oil, coolants, and other fluids. The primary purpose of our lab is to provide our Analysts with the test results and additional data needed so they can provide our customers with an in-depth forensic analysis of their oils, coolants, and other industrial fluids.


Each Lab Technician has a role in meeting our customers' expectations for timely and accurate testing of their samples. Lab Technicians are cross trained on several procedures and types of equipment. As an ISO accredited lab, we follow standard operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities include

  • Process customer samples using established procedures.
  • Preparation of samples for testing.
  • Enter test results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred; equivalent college-level laboratory coursework or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in a lab environment - either through college level lab courses or at work.
  • Knowledge of lubricants or oil is preferred.
  • Must have general computer knowledge and accurate data entry skills.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the day.
  • The desire to seek out ways to improve processes, the team, and yourself.
