This is a Summer Internship Program for those pursuing a career in People Operations and studying a related field.
About the Role
As a Summer Intern for the People team, you will gain practical hands-on experience in a fast-paced operational environment while supporting the People Operations team at LEGOLAND New York Resort. The People Intern will work closely with People Business Partners, the People Director, and Workforce Planning teams to support employee engagement initiatives, operational projects, administrative processes, and day-to-day People Operations.
This internship is designed to provide exposure to multiple areas of People Operations and is ideal for someone looking to pursue a career in People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, or broader operational leadership functions.
Qualifications & Experience
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and resort events.
  • Support project-based work and operational initiatives across the People department.
  • Assist the People Director and People team with administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with candidate communication and recruitment-related administrative support.
  • Enter and maintain employee information within People systems.
  • Assist with reporting, tracking, and organizational projects as needed.
  • Support the Workforce Planning team with operational and staffing-related tasks.
  • Assist with employee questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member when needed.
  • Participate in learning and development activities and gain exposure to various People functions across the resort.
  • Observe and gain exposure to employee relations processes and operational workflows when appropriate.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling employee information.
  • Other duties assigned according to business needs.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Pursuing a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS platforms.
  • Self-motivated, professional, dependable, and strictly maintains confidentiality.
  • Friendly, outgoing, team-oriented, and dedicated to excellent customer service.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, standing/walking for long periods.
  • Available to work possible weekends, holidays, and flexible hours based on park schedule.
