A Lego job typically refers to a position at The Lego Group, the company that designs, manufactures, and sells Lego sets and products. Roles vary across multiple departments, including design, engineering, marketing, sales, and retail. Employees contribute to the development, production, and promotion of Lego products, ensuring creativity and quality. Positions can be found in corporate offices, Lego stores, or manufacturing facilities worldwide.
To thrive as a LEGO Model Designer, you need strong creative design skills, spatial reasoning, and experience with LEGO building, typically supported by a background in industrial design, architecture, or a related field. Familiarity with digital design tools such as LEGO Digital Designer (LDD), CAD software, and rapid prototyping is often required. Designers may also work under tight deadlines while coordinating with marketing, production, and engineering teams to deliver products on schedule. Navigating these challenges helps ensure that every LEGO set is both inspiring and achievable for builders around the world.
