Lego Robotics Instructor - Northside Family YMCAThe YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lego Robotics Instructor for a K-5 Lego Program at the Northside Family YMCA. Program participants will engage in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Mathematics) learning through Lego builds, coding, and collaboration. This salary range for this position is $20-$21 per hour.DUTIES of a Lego Robotics Instructor Lego Instructor will work closely with the Regional Director of Community Outreach to implement a Lego Robotics program for elementary school students. Specific duties include facilitating Lego curriculum and making real-world connections, monitoring participant progress and making adjustments; working to create a safe and productive learning environment; providing mentorship to volunteers; and supervising scholars in in-person day to day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips.QUALIFICATIONS of a Lego Robotics InstructorCandidates must have at least one year of related experience, with at least six months experience working with youth. Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and technological skills. Strong relationship building, mentoring, communication and leadership skills.
