Prepares and files a variety of tax documents in a large number of jurisdictions and provides research and analysis support on complex state tax matters, including assistance with internal and external tax advice and service. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Job is an individual contributor. Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports. Prepare calculations of foreign source income and foreign tax credits, export sales for the I/C DISC, U.S. inclusions of foreign earnings and Section 987 pools. Prepare Forms 5471, 8858, 8865 and 1118 and their supporting workpapers Obtain and develop information and documentation necessary to complete returns and other tax filings. Assist in providing tax advice and service to OSI Group, LLC, its principals, aliates, and joint-venture entities, as needed Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures. Assist in implementing strategic tax planning as needed. Research and interpret domestic tax laws to identify planning opportunities and mitigate risks. Assist in maintaining overall return compliance filing calendar and verify that all returns have been filed on a timely basis with follow up to the taxing jurisdiction as necessary. Assist in maintaining eective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process. Assist with monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the eects of these developments, and creating strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation, as needed. Provide support with various internal/external audits and special tax related projects. Assist with preparation of US/Foreign tax provisions, as needed This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Skills: 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred. Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management. Mult-state S-corporation and partnership tax compliance knowledge, including non-resident withholding and composite tax filing requirements Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements of a manufacturing business environment Knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for S- corporations and partnerships, including familiarity with tiered partnership structures Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks. Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with SAP, Corptax, and tax research tools. 2 years of Public Accounting experience is preferred Preferred Education: BA/BS or equivalent is preferred. Work Environment: Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work conditions are typical of an office environment. This role does not require any domestic travel Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds. Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours. Compensation/ Benefits The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. The salary range for this role is $84,460–$126,690, with a midpoint of $105,575. Offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on skills, experience, and internal equity. In rare cases, highly qualified candidates may receive an offer above the midpoint; however, offers at the maximum of the range are not customary. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI’s overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.Work Environment: Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
