Our Rogers Bank Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) function supports the business and is responsible for the identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting of regulatory compliance risks across the bank.

As part of the RCM function, this position is testing focused and assists the Chief Compliance Officer in the implementation, maintenance, and administration of the Bank RCM program.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the Bank's Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, making the appropriate updates/improvements to the program to effectively and consistently facilitate the Bank's compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Challenge, monitor and test regulatory control activities through independent testing, to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and adherence to Applicable Regulatory Requirements.
  • Identify, assess, challenge and oversee the satisfactory resolution of issues, including ensuring adequacy of management remediation plans and validating closure. Supports root-cause analysis in response to control failures as required.
  • Help to assess training needs and assist in the development the Bank's Compliance training and communication program to foster a culture of compliance.
  • Help to assess areas of focus for independent testing based on knowledge and any trends noted.
  • Assist with the day-to-day functionality of the GRC-Resolver system, in relation to the RCM program.
  • Assisting in the development of monthly and quarterly reports on the Bank's overall state of compliance with applicable legislative provisions and updates on testing results.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in Regulatory Compliance Management, Compliance Testing, and/or Audit.
  • Deep Financial Services industry knowledge, experienced in how independent risk functions work with business.
  • Significant knowledge of Federally Regulated Financial Institution (FRFI) regulatory requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of business level processes including Complaints Handling, Sales Practices (e.g., Sales Culture, Performance Management, Governance, and related controls).
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • In depth knowledge of data driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work autonomously, driving commitment and engagement throughout the business, acting as an owner and a hands-on partner.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.  Experience in presenting material for approval or review to all levels.
  • Degree in business or related discipline. MBA, CA, CIA or other professional-related qualification would be an asset.
