Job description


Overall Responsibility: This job role is vital to the success of Shane’s Rib Shack.  The front of the house employee ensures we have top-notch customer service and that our products are served with 100% satisfaction.  It is the front of the house employee’s responsibility to provide customers with prompt service, quality food and products.  At Shane’s Rib Shack, we want our customers to experience a friendly, upbeat, clean and comfortable atmosphere. 
Key Areas of Responsibility: 
·     Acts with integrity, honesty & knowledge that promotes the culture, values & mission of Shane’s Rib Shack 
·     Ensure customers receive prompt, efficient, courteous customer service. Provides friendly, courteous, polite and ensures prompt resolution of service issues. 
·     Delivers legendary customer service by determining the customer’s needs & suggesting products to enhance service & meet or exceed sales goals. 
·     Performs regular ‘table touches to solicit feedback and communicate appropriate information. 
·     Becomes familiar with the Point-of-Sale system.  Speed and accuracy need to be mastered quickly. 
·     Welcomes guests with enthusiasm and expresses appreciation as the guests leave. 
·     Answer the phone promptly and courteously.  Takes over the phone orders and assists customers. 
·     Contributes to the store’s goals for increasing sales and improving profits. 
·     Clearing tables quickly to allow for a smoothie and quick turn during peak hours of lunch and dinner 
·     Sweeping the floors and patio and other related cleaning tasks (i.e. bathrooms) 
·     Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team. 
·     Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner morale & performance & communicating them to the store manager. 
·     Maintain a detailed knowledge of Shane’s Rib Shack’s products and menu. 
·     Matching the customer orders with the guest and delivering the meal to the customer by name 
·     Visiting customers, refilling drinks and ensuring the customer is fully satisfied. 
·     Returning all dirty good baskets to the dish washer 
·     Keeping the drink station stocked and clean. 
·     Help promote involvement in the local community involvement and assist in community events at the store. 
·     Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. 
Qualifications 
·     Self-starter with ‘Whatever It Takes’ attitude and high sense of urgency 
·     Customer service oriented with exceptional communication skills. 
·     Ability to learn quickly. 
·     Demonstrates leadership and teamwork skills. 
·     1-2 years experience working in a growing, entrepreneurial, restaurant environment. 
·     Work varied hours/days based on business needs. 
·     Ability to build relationships.
