Job Description The Alaska Court System is seeking dependable and organized individuals to serve as bailiffs-an important role that supports the court's mission of delivering fair and efficient justice. As a bailiff, you will be responsible for escorting jurors in and out of the courtroom before, during, and after trials. You'll help maintain the integrity of the deliberation process by ensuring that jurors are not contacted or influenced by outside parties.

In addition, you will assist with coordinating meals, lodging, and transportation for jurors when necessary, and you'll accompany them to meals and provide support for basic, personal errands as needed. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school graduation or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND six months of responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to deal tactfully with the public. Additional Required Information WORK HISTORY If using work experience not already documented in your application, provide the employer name, your job title, dates of employment and whether full or part-time. Applications will be reviewed to determine if the responses are supported and Minimum Qualifications are clearly met.

If they are not, the applicant will not advance to the interview and selection phase of the recruitment. EDUCATION If post-secondary education is required to meet the Minimum Qualifications, you must fill in the Education and Training section of the application. If you have not obtained a degree, please indicate the number of credit hours earned in the Degree Obtained field.
