Job description

You will report directly to our Senior Director, Legal Operations and will work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

The eDiscovery Program Manager runs the day-to-day eDiscovery program supporting the Litigation CoE, Legal, and Compliance. This role manages the operational lifecycle of matters including legal holds, preservation, defensible collection, and secure transfer for litigation, investigations, compliance matters, and subpoena responses. You are the primary operational point of contact for eDiscovery workflows-administering ESI tools, coordinating stakeholders and vendors, and ensuring consistent execution and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

eDiscovery Operations/Program Management

  • Manage end-to-end eDiscovery execution: intake, scoping, custodian identification, legal holds, preservation, collection, data processing, and performing secure data transfers to support Honeywell attorneys, outside counsel, and internal investigations
  • Triage requests, develop scope with legal teams and external vendors, set priorities, and manage timelines across multiple matters
  • Track matters, legal holds, and collections in the case/hold management systems; maintain clear status updates and documentation
  • Manage SOPs, templates, and chain-of-custody records to ensure consistent, defensible execution
  • Flag recurring issues, risks, and bottlenecks and recommend practical workflow improvements
  • Manage/administer preservation-in-place within Microsoft 365/Purview as required
  • Conduct and oversee defensible forensic collections across common enterprise sources (email, Teams, SharePoint, endpoints, cloud apps); perform basic quality control and coordinate secure data transfers to vendors/outside counsel
  • Administer eDiscovery tools (e.g., Relativity One, legal hold, case management): workspace/setup support, access provisioning, imports/exports, troubleshooting, and user guidance
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, IT, InfoSec, HR) and service providers to complete tasks on schedule; confirm deliverables and resolve exceptions
  • Manage activities relating to status reports and core metrics (volume, cycle time, hold compliance, vendor activity/spend) and escalate risks/issues as needed

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of EDRM and defensible eDiscovery practices
  • Hands-on experience with legal hold tools, Microsoft Purview eDiscovery and Relativity
  • Familiarity with processing/ECA concepts and common workflows (including analytics/TAR basics)
  • Experience performing forensic collections of Microsoft 365 data and other enterprise data sources (cloud, on-prem, and endpoints)
  • Clear communication and project management skills to run multiple matters under deadlines

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of eDiscovery operations/litigation support experience (holds, preservation, collection, and coordination through review) or 3+ years and master's degree in related field
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with attorneys, IT professionals, and vendors
  • Project management experience, proven ability to manage multiple complex, deadline-driven projects simultaneously
  • Immediate capability to manage data compliance in Microsoft 365 and execute eDiscovery projects in Relativity
