Job description

Direct Counsel is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney – Plaintiff Personal Injury to join a growing and highly successful plaintiff-side personal injury practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys client advocacy, case strategy, and settlement negotiations while managing significant injury cases from intake through resolution.

The ideal candidate will have strong plaintiff personal injury experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement
  • Conduct liability and damages investigations to evaluate case value
  • Draft and review demand packages, settlement communications, and other legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
  • Develop case strategy to maximize client recovery
  • Maintain strong client relationships and guide clients through the legal process
  • Collaborate with case managers, legal assistants, and litigation teams
  • Ensure an outstanding client experience while efficiently managing a caseload

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active attorney license and good standing with the applicable State Bar
  • 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of California personal injury laws and procedures
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and client counseling skills
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume or high-value caseload
