Job description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Strong experience in automotive or embedded electronic hardware design.
• Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, processors, memories, sensors, and peripheral interfaces.
• Experience designing power-management circuits, including DC-DC converters, LDOs, protection circuits, and power sequencing.
• Knowledge of automotive communication interfaces such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, UART, and related physical-layer circuits.
• Experience with schematic-capture and PCB-design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, or equivalent.
• Experience with circuit simulation and analysis tools such as LTspice, PSpice, HyperLynx, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of high-speed PCB design, controlled impedance, grounding, shielding, signal integrity, and power integrity.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of automotive EMC, ESD, transient protection, and environmental requirements.
• Familiarity with automotive qualification standards such as AEC-Q100 and AEC-Q200.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead automotive electronic hardware development from concept through production.
• Translate customer and system requirements into hardware requirements, architecture, block diagrams, schematics, and detailed design documentation.
• Design analog, digital, power-supply, communication, sensor-interface, and microcontroller-based circuits.
• Perform component selection considering performance, automotive qualification, reliability, availability, lifecycle, and cost.
• Review and guide PCB placement, routing, stack-up, grounding, shielding, thermal management, signal integrity, and power integrity.
• Perform circuit simulations, worst-case analysis, tolerance analysis, derating analysis, power-budget analysis, and design calculations.
• Conduct hardware design reviews and ensure timely closure of technical findings.
• Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials and support component obsolescence management.
• Support prototype development, board bring-up, integration, debugging, and functional testing.
• Define hardware verification and validation plans, test specifications, acceptance criteria, and test reports.
• Support EMC, ESD, electrical transient, environmental, vibration, thermal, and reliability testing.
• Investigate design, manufacturing, validation, and field issues using structured root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with system, software, mechanical, optics, validation, manufacturing, supplier, and customer teams.
• Support design-for-manufacturing, design-for-testability, design-for-reliability, and production-launch activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior hardware engineers and offshore teams.
• Support technical discussions, estimates, planning, customer reviews, and delivery commitments.
Base Salary Range : $100,000 to $130,000 Per Annum
