Job description

Philbrook Law is a Portland-based personal injury firm committed to fighting for clients when they need it most. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our team and serve as a key partner in the pursuit of justice on behalf of our clients/

This is a high-responsibility, high-impact position. You will manage a demanding caseload from intake through resolution — keeping cases moving, clients informed, and the attorney focused on advocacy.


RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Manage and organize active personal injury case files from intake to resolution

•     Edit and proofread demand letters, pleadings, motions, and correspondence

•     Coordinate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel

•     Request, review, and organize medical records, bills, and lien documentation

•     Calendar deadlines, hearings, and statute of limitations dates

•     Prepare files for depositions, mediations, and trial

•     Maintain case management software and ensure accurate documentation


QUALIFICATIONS

•     5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, with significant personal injury focus

•     Paralegal certificate or associate/bachelor’s degree preferred

•     Strong knowledge of Oregon civil procedure and court filing requirements

•     Experience with medical records review and lien resolution

•     Proficiency with case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar)

•     Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•     Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

High degree of discretion, professionalism, and client empathy
