A Columbia insurance defense law firm is seeking an experience litigation legal assistant to support their busy attorney's.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knows and understands insurance defense work.
  • Experience doing conflict checks, opening files, and revise & draft bills.
  • Handle & scan incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Schedule depositions, client interviews and mediations.
  • Handle general administrative duties for 2-3 attorneys.
  • More than anything...someone who is reliable and is really a team player.
  • A legal assistant who will do whatever it takes to get the job done no matter who it is.
  • Ideally this legal assistant would have some experience with some kind of case management system like Needles, Trial Works, ProLaw, time management, etc...
  • Seeking a happy legal assistant and not a complainer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to determine work priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled typing ability.
  • Ability to compose general correspondence.
  • Answer phones.
