Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of adult patients to identify immediate and long-term healthcare needs.
  • Perform detailed physical examinations and maintain comprehensive health histories.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide effective and personalized treatment plans.
  • Empower patients through education on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor mid-level providers, including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant environment in line with Legacy's high standards.
  • Foster effective teamwork and communication to achieve shared healthcare goals.
  • Engage in ongoing safety and educational programs to enhance personal and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Medical Doctor with current licensure.
  • Provider shall obtain, maintain, and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.
  • Ability to meet Legacy Community Health's EPIC proficiency requirements.
  • Previous experience in a community healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency with an EHRS system.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Above average organizational skills.
  • Strong typing and computer skills.
  • This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and decision-making responsibilities.
