Job description

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, identifying issues, prioritizing tasks, facilitating communications, and representing the working group
  • Perform project engineer and project administrator duties with overall responsibility for assigned projects
  • Identify innovative technologies and operational enhancements to improve facility design, safety, resiliency/reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Develop and implement analytical techniques to evaluate facility systems and optimize systems design
  • Deliver independent, data-driven technical reports and recommendations to management and customers
  • Develop and evaluate design criteria and review A-E design packages for adherence, completeness, and accuracy
  • Support construction and commissioning activities
  • Develop project scopes of work, pre-conceptual design documentation, budgets, cost estimates, and planning/scheduling documentation
  • Apply rigorous problem-solving methods to identify root causes of facility system failures
  • Mentor team members by providing orientation, technical guidance, and development insight
  • Travel to customer and government facilities while representing the company professionally
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Project/Construction Management, or related engineering degree from an accredited school
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance for Engineering Specialist level; 12 years for Senior Engineering Specialist level
  • Current Registered Architect or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience programming, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining large multi-site/facility and campus-type facilities
  • Project management experience and ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams
  • Self-starter with proficient time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of current commercial building codes and regulations, including IBC and NFPA
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or analogous computer-aided drafting programs
  • Experience developing statements of work and estimating project costs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • For Senior Engineering Specialist: experience leading/mentoring junior staff and project estimation experience
  • U.S. citizenship required for positions with technical responsibilities
  • Preferred: Professional Bachelor of Architecture, master's or advanced related engineering degree, LEED Accreditation, PMP certification, high-density data center experience, federal/military/space-launch facility experience, cleanroom facilities knowledge, SCADA/DCS familiarity, DoD UFC knowledge, and NEPA knowledge
