Job description

Utilizing our broad expertise and experience, we customize solutions to best meet our client's needs. We act as a key partner for our clients by delivering exceptional quality, reliability, and safety in all that we do.
As a Superintendent with Ledcor Technical Services, you will take the lead in our daily field operations. You will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will execute project plans and schedules, uphold site safety and quality control, and manage the work of field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. Your leadership will be central to keeping our projects running smoothly and successfully.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
  • Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
  • Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
  • Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
  • Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
  • Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

Qualifications:

  • One to three years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
  • Experience in aerial and underground fiber instillation methods is a plus. (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
  • Effective Communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

Working Conditions:

  • This is a site-based position
  • Travel required throughout multiple states
  • 50-70% travel
