Job Summary
Position: Lecturer of Mathematics
  • The position is a 10-month non-tenure track position.
  • A typical teaching load is 5/5 or 15 credit hours per semester (fall and spring).
  • Additional teaching in the summer may be available.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a variety of courses in the Department of Mathematics including supporting courses in the core curriculum, College of Education, and College of Business and Computing.
  • Actively engage in research and scholarly activities to contribute to the academic excellence of the department, college, and institution.
  • Provide dedicated advising and mentorship to students as assigned, fostering their academic and professional growth.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to service through active participation in departmental, institutional, and professional activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair, Dean, and Administration.

Required Qualifications
Masters required (Doctorate preferred) in Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching college-level courses in mathematics.
  • Experience teaching mathematics in middle/ high school.
  • Experience teaching First-Generation students.
  • Experience in Data Science
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines.
  • Experience coordinating students in experiential learning opportunities, internships, and High Impact Practices (HIPs).

Proposed Salary
$50,000 - $55,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
